This time last year our minds were a little preoccupied, still familiarising ourselves with our new identity. The switch from Xcetra Media to Ready didn’t happen overnight, so we were well prepared. Nevertheless, it took a little getting used to.

Since then, the year we’ve spent as Ready has been liberating, exciting but at the same time still very much business as usual.

So what has actually changed, if anything at all?


Our closely-knit team has grown from seven to nine. Just after the rebrand went live, our New Business Director Dave joined us to help communicate our new proposition – The Creative Campaign Agency – to existing and potential clients.


Earlier this year we also welcomed Ryan to our design team, who has since worked on print and digital creative for clients including BMJ, Bauer Media and BCS.

Our office administrator Ellie has also now joined us on a full-time basis (having previously been part-time), with her role expanded to include marketing and PR support.


Like every agency should, we value client relationships enormously, so the positive sentiment from our current clients towards the rebrand was a big relief.

The good vibes have carried through into some great campaigns this year, including for Soap & Glory as we enter into the fifth year of our relationship.


It was also a great opportunity to get out there and tell prospective clients what value we could add to their marketing activity. As a result, Hearst Magazines UK, No7, Perkbox, BMJ and most recently Burt’s Bees are just some of the brands we’ve begun working with since the switch to Ready.


2016 kicked off with a bang when we found out we’d won the Creative category at this year’s Bath Life Awards. Our city means so much to us, and we were overjoyed to be crowned winners over some tough competition.


Later in the year, we further bolstered our involvement in Bath’s creative community by becoming an Anchor Partner to Creative Bath. And our directors Jake and Shane were named in Business Insider’s ‘42 Under 42’ list of local entrepreneurs in the south-west.


You can imagine how thrilled the team were in September this year, when it was announced that Team Ready would be hitting the shores of Lake Geneva as a reward for all their hard work this year.

It was a wonderful weekend sojourn, documented in this blog post complete with hilarious video. We’re very grateful to Jake and Shane for the trip, and have all got our fingers crossed that it will be a regular occurrence!


So what does January and beyond hold?

Our first year as Ready has been busy, frantic at times, but lots of fun. We have some exciting growth plans in the pipeline for next year, but with lots of work between now and the end of this month – plus our Christmas party this Thursday which promises to be nothing short of epic – we’re going to focus on nailing the rest of 2016 first.
