Welcome back to Best of the West where we cover all the exciting news from local brands and businesses!
This week we’re looking at an exciting purchase, vegan food and delicious tea and coffee.
Groupon acquires Bristol company
Groupon has acquired the online discount-code platform Vouchercloud and gift-voucher business Giftcloud, both under the company Cloud Savings Ltd.
The Bristol-based business was bought for £47.8 million, and having operated for 13 years, this is a new and exciting opportunity for them.
Vouchercloud offers discounts and codes for everything from cars to restaurants, giving people an excuse to treat themselves and save a bit whilst doing it. It also has a feature that shows local discounts for users on a handy map.

Giftcloud, on the other hand, is a website that allows people to gift easily. They can send gift cards, including restaurants, jewellery, fashion, gaming and more through the website, which then organises it all and sends it. Users can schedule the gifts, so no birthday or wedding is ever forgotten and they can also customise it with pictures and messages.
Little & Cull expansion
It’s no secret that the vegan market is growing and with it, the vegan food company Little & Cull is expanding.

The Devon-based manufacturer supplies pubs, hotels, restaurents and catering companies across the UK. Recently, they’ve acquired new premises to expand with the help of a 2.7 million funding package.
And following an increase from 5% to 10% of their annual £9m turnover, they’ve doubled their vegan food offering. So expect to encounter some great tasting food across the UK thanks to them!
Miles on Tour
The tea and coffee brand Miles will be out and about this summer attending events across the west country. Attendees will be able to taste the tea, coffee and heavenly hot chocolate. And of course, be able to buy any of their favourite Miles products.
