Welcome to the latest Beauty in Brief, our fortnightly round-up of the latest news in beauty technology and marketing.
This edition features Perfect Corp’s new skin diagnostic app, The Hut acquiring Glossybox and ARK’s first Skincare Boutique in Surrey.
The AR skin diagnostic tool from Perfect Corp is the latest innovation in their YouCam make-up app. It helps users understand their overall skin health and can track the condition of the skin over time. The technology is smart enough to balance lighting conditions and normalise environments so it can accurately track changes in the skin over time.
Glossybox has been acquired by UK e-commerce platform operator The Hut Group in a move that will extend their international reach and add to their already expanding beauty portfolio, which includes Beautybox, Grow Gorgeous and Lookfantastic.com.
Ark has opened a boutique at the top of the high street in Haslemere, Surrey. They will be stocking their entire product range and consumers can go in store to receive expert advice on which range and products will help them most.
