This month marks ten fantastic years in business for Ready, and we celebrated in style with a big birthday bash at Bath’s Victoria Art Gallery on Thursday.
Clients, colleagues, friends and family joined us for an evening of fun in the stunning setting of the gallery’s first floor, perusing the masterpieces as they arrived.
Amongst the many beautiful paintings and sculptures, we added a couple of Ready-style works of art. Our birthday cake featured a pattern which, when viewed through an augmented reality app, came to life in an explosion of colour.
In addition, as our guests arrived they soon noticed small signs around the venue inviting them to visit a bit.ly link or scan a QR code.
This took them to a Whack A Mole-style mobile game featuring all nine Ready heads and some brilliant sound effects.
It had everyone hooked. A few of our guests genuinely spent most of the evening trying to beat their best score.
Fancy a go at the game yourself? Head here – and don’t forget to turn up the sound!
As the gallery filled up, wave after wave of delicious canapés were dished out. After everyone had just about had their fill (leaving room for birthday cake, of course), our director Jake spoke with great emotion about the ten-year journey that he and brother and fellow director Shane have taken to get to today.
Relocating from Beijing to Bath, a city new to both of them, was a gamble in itself. But to then take a punt and set up their own business was a huge test.
Jake’s speech thanked every client, partner and member of the Ready team for their role in supporting their success to get the agency to where it is now.
Being typically modest, he didn’t mention his and Shane’s hard work and drive that actually, over the last ten years, have been the most important factors in the agency’s growth over the last decade.
So we made sure we let them know it’s all about their leadership and dedication, raising more than a glass or two to their incredible achievements over the course of the rest of the evening.
A big thank you to everyone that came to help celebrate our tenth birthday with us! It was a special and memorable night.
Now for the small matter of the next ten years…
