We are thrilled to share our first piece of work for new client Oxford University Press!
The world’s largest university publisher tasked our team with promoting their universally popular Oxford Reading Tree scheme. With specialist books and well-loved characters, Oxford Reading Tree encourages children to be confident readers all across the globe.
Some of us definitely have Biff, Chip and Kipper to thank for making reading fun!
The goal was to drive global brand awareness of the scheme amongst teachers, institutions and schools, encouraging them to adopt the programme. So, to achieve this, we decided to create a video campaign. Video popularity is on the rise and it’s an easily digestible form for learning all about the reading scheme.
We were lucky enough to have access to their stock of footage from schools around the world and previous branding work. Our challenge from there was to go through that library and create a video that properly fit with their message. This was a fun exercise in editing and we’re really happy with how it turned out.
Our work with Oxford University Press was collaborative right from the beginning. At Ready we love to work closely with brands to get to know them inside out. We developed the script with them and then a storyboard to work from.
Following this, we cast voice actors, sorted their recording sessions and sourced the music.
All in all there was a lot to organise, but we think it’s great to work side by side with a brand and really get to know them inside out. Working like this helps to create something new and original, but still sits naturally within a brand.
Once everything was in place, we put together the video! It’s in long-from for the main campaign and short-form to share on social channels.
Great job, team Ready!
