You’ll definitely have heard of this great brand from Bristol. You might even be enjoying one of their amazing teas whilst reading this, right at this moment! (And if not then go and make one).
They’ve recently moved into a great looking new office and now are setting off on an exciting summer tour!
They’ve got a new Pukka camper and are traveling across the UK to community projects, festivals and events to promote the power of plants. The van has been specially designed to be sustainable and it’s name will soon be revealed through a final online vote! Keep an eye on their twitter for the news.
So maybe we’re a bit biased, but Bath itself has some exciting news. Our city has recently been named in the top ten cities predicated to dominate the tech industry in the coming years.
This is exciting news for Bath and proof of how diverse and tech-forward it is, More than a quarter of all job vacancies in Bath are actually tech-based and it’s now home to the Bath Digital Festival. (Something we’re speaking at this year!)
Boston Tea Party
With the recent fears of throw-away plastics, BTP have taken a huge positive step. They’ve banned single-use takeaway cups. If a customer wants to take a hot drink out they need to bring their own reusable cup or buy one of the colourful ones in store.
For those who forget their cup, however, there is a loan scheme. Customers can take a reusable cup and get a full refund when they next return it to a BTP store.
We think this is a great initiative and hope other cafés will follow suit!
