The world’s biggest beauty brands descended on London’s Millennium Mayfair Hotel yesterday to debate the future of the industry at the Beauty Trends & Innovations Conference.
As a partner of the event for the first time, we were eagerly anticipating a fascinating day – and we weren’t disappointed.
Speakers from Molton Brown, L’Oréal, Weleda UK, Holland & Barrett and many more graced the stage to discuss topics ranging from digital transformation to the hottest ingredients trends.
Our favourite session was a live Q&A on social media, featuring a panel of leaders from Unilever, My Beauty Matches, Birchbox, Molton Brown and Batiste.
The open format and subsequent on-the-spot answers made for a really interesting session. Question subjects included the future of influencers, the role of social media in adding to the bottom line and whether the rise of social has led to the beauty industry ignoring older women. Outside the main hall on our stand, we had some really good chats with delegates about the role of digital campaigns in helping beauty brands build relationships with consumers.

All in all, it was a brilliant day. We’ll definitely be back next year to see where this fast-paced, innovative industry is heading next.
